Role Summary:
  • As an Area Sales Representative with Rose Life Science in Northern Alberta, you'll be the driving force behind building and nurturing relationships with cannabis retailers, delivering education, and implementing sales strategies to elevate our brand's presence and sales growth in this exciting industry. If you're a passionate and results-oriented professional with a strong background in retail, B2B sales, and a love for cannabis, this role is your opportunity to shine in the dynamic world of cannabis management.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Relationship Building:

  • Craft and nurture genuine relationships with accounts across your assigned territory, ranging from Independents, Multi-Store Private Retailers to National Chains.
  • Foster a sense of community by providing best in class service and establishing authentic connections with store owners, managers, budtenders, and influencers.

Execution:

  • Be the face of our brands during store visits, product launches, trade fairs, and events in Alberta and beyond.
  • Secure and lead product knowledge sessions, training groups of budtenders and distributors on our products, cultivation methods, and quality standards, methods of selling and turn them into ROSE LifeScience enthusiasts.

Traditional Sales + Business Development:

  • Strategically review and develop customer plans for accounts in order to outperform sales targets.
  • Diligently utilize and update CRM daily.
  • Proactively recognize prospects and employ creative selling solutions to boost sales and raise brand awareness.
  • Implement and maintain in-store essentials for top-of-mind customer presence, from distribution to in-store trade marketing.
  • Keep a watchful eye on the market, ensuring all accounts provide optimal customer service, education, and sales, aligning with Rose standards.
  • Collect valuable market intelligence and feedback from account partners, sharing insights and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Utilize customer insights to gain a competitive edge with retailers.
  • Maintain pricing consistency in dispensaries to align with our strategy and provide feedback to the internal team for necessary adjustments.
  • Keep a close eye on the competition and track the activities of other LPs in the market.
Who You Are:

We already know you're passionate about working with customers and driving brand visibility and sales. Here's what we're looking for in you:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in CPG Sales, cannabis retail or customer service.
  • Proven knowledge of sales best practices, joint business planning, and account management.
  • Exceptional communication and training skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Proficient in MS Suite and experience with a CRM.
  • A self-starter who is goal-driven and has a track record of achieving growth objectives and critical KPIs.
  • A creative thinker who thrives on providing innovative solutions and collaborating on a team.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel extensively within the geographic region and other provinces in Canada.
  • Ability to obtain and pass an RCMP Criminal Record Check, Alberta SellSafe, Alberta QSW and maintain security clearance.
  • Strong financial literacy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Cannabis industry experience a strong asset.
  • Power BI knowledge an asset.
What you should know about the job:
  • You will be reporting to ROSE’s National Sales Manager
  • Your role will be based in Edmonton, AB
  • 80% of the job is in field with 20% dedicated to admin
  • Ability to travel required to other provinces as well as Northern Alberta
  • Car, License and Clean driving record necessary
