How you can contribute:

The Category Manager will be responsible for managing specific categories and ultimately driving market share & profitable revenue.

  • CATEGORY STRATEGY: Developing and implementing strategic plans for the category, including setting short-term and long-term objectives, analyzing competitive landscape, identifying growth opportunities, and formulating strategies to achieve business goals
  • PRODUCT ASSORTMENT AND SELECTION: Managing the assortment and selection of products within the category, including evaluating product performance, conducting product analysis, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions on product assortment to optimize sales, profitability, and partner satisfaction
  • PRICING STRATEGY: Setting and managing pricing strategies, monitoring pricing trends, conducting competitive pricing analysis, optimizing pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
  • MARKET AND COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS: Monitoring market trends, conducting competitive analysis, identifying opportunities and threats, and staying updated with industry dynamics to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the competition
  • PERFORMANCE REPORTING AND ANALYSIS: Developing and analyzing category performance metrics, preparing regular reports and presentations for management review, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing corrective actions to achieve targets
  • CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Understanding customer needs and preferences, analyzing customer data, developing customer-focused strategies, monitoring customer satisfaction, and providing insights to improve customer experience
  • PARTNER MANAGEMENT: managing relationships with partners, resolving partner-related issues, and ensuring timely and efficient communication
You’re really good at:
  • Identifying and assessing issues and opportunities and present solutions
  • Telling stories with data and making every recommendation data-driven and actionable
  • Working independently and proactively with minimum supervision
  • Paying attention to details while handling fluctuating workloads simultaneously
  • Building and managing relationships with various stakeholders in a professional way
Things we hope you have:
  • University Degree in Business or Marketing; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in category management, key account management or commercial role in CPG or similar industry
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management
  • In-depth knowledge of market analysis and metrics
  • Strong financial literacy and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (excel, powerpoint)
  • Proficient in PowerBI
  • Cannabis industry experience a strong asset
  • FR proficiency an asset
