Role Summary

This position will report to the Vice-President of Operations and is responsible for in-process operations quality control checks in the inspection, labeling and packaging areas. This person will be an important liaison between Quality Team and the Operations Team, in an executional operational level. The main responsibilities of the role are related to the quality of samples collected and tested, proper documentation, investigations, and implementing corrective actions to meet the company’s objectives and in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures in respect to the Cannabis Act.

How you can contribute
  • Work closely with QA, Cultivation and Packaging departments to release products of the utmost quality;
  • Manage the team that ensures production department meets all quality requirements;
  • Manage the quality control of incoming production materials, such as bulk cannabis, pre-rolls, packaging, labelling materials, etc.
  • Follow Quality SOPs and work closely with the Quality Assurance and Production departments to ensure corrective actions are followed in response to any deviation that occurs;
  • Evaluate cannabis bulk quality, such as aroma, aesthetics and physical characteristics;
  • Flag any potentials risks and quality concerns to applicable teams and assist in their rectification;
  • Work with Teams to establish product quality specifications;
  • Validate incoming materials to meet product specifications;
  • Follow GPP and regulatory requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate all sampling and retention of materials activities, including Cultivation and Packaging departments, to prep for Quality Department release.
Things we hope you have:
  • High school completion, college certification/diploma or working towards completion.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated environment, ideally cannabis industry
  • Previous experience leading teams or the execution of complex projects
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to positively interact with interdepartmental teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Good business sense, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Autonomous, meticulous and proactive mindset
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in French to work in Quebec.
  • Good English skills to interact with sister and parent companies (British Colombia and USA)
