Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Strategy and Medical Exports - Village Farms, the Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the effective development and coordination of various international revenue and strategic projects. This includes collecting and disseminating documentation and information essential to project requirements throughout various project phases with both internal and external stakeholders across the globe.

How you can contribute


  • Ensure specific projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Coordinate and communicate project development needs, such as scheduling requirements across different countries and provinces, information cohesiveness, contractual agreements and obligations, harvest schedules, and others as the needs arise.
  • Prepare meetings documentations, such as presentations, control sheets, and any other relevant information that may be required.
  • Review and collaborate to resolve concerns regarding ongoing project issues and performance.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to collect requirements and maintain effective communication with all involved
  • Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings as well as document and follow-up on important actions and decisions.
  • Manage inbound inquiries via email, phone, etc. and start first rounds of research on potential customers.


In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Support the Medical Cannabis Exports team in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects within our organization.
  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of project-related data related including plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Provide administrative support, such as managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, processing expenses reports, and responding to emails, as needed.


Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

  • Assist in creating, centralizing, and distributing relevant information to teams, suppliers, and partners.
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to the SVP and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the drafting of requested communication pieces, such as press releases.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English and French. Other languages are considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power-Point and Outlook).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and all stakeholders, from various backgrounds and countries, for successful project completion.
  • Strong work ethic, highly motivated and enjoys a challenge.
  • Detail conscious with a focus on achieving results.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and be flexible, while maintaining efficiency
Things we hope you have
  • A post-secondary degree or bachelor's degree, concentration in project management; international business, commerce, or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in project management and/or administration
  • Bilingual, English and French
  • Bilingual (French and English) with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in French to work in Quebec.
  • Good English skills to interact with sister and parent companies (British Colombia and USA)
