Role Summary:

The VP Finance plays a critical role in coordinating the finances of the company. He/She directs all our financial planning and financial strategies. He/She maintains and creates high-level relationships with financial institutions, investors, and various external organizations.

How you can contribute:
  • Manage the financial reporting for the organisation. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, 5-year financial plans and all statutory financial reporting.
  • Provide sound financial support and insights to enable the Executive Committee to make critical business decisions.
  • Present financial results and insights to the Executive Committee and key stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy.
  • Manage and oversee the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice.
  • Manage and oversee the cash flow of the company and ensure it has the appropriate treasury controls.
  • Manage the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards.
  • Manage and oversee the company’s financial systems.
  • Lead investment appraisal and analysis.
  • Continued identification of opportunities to automate and standardize processes, by working with various business units on consistency of financial data.
  • Oversight of detailed analysis on key areas for the company, including gross margin, inventory metrics, and revenue.
  • Build and manage the finance team, tools, systems, and policies ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and implement internal controls, systems, and processes that will support the financial structure for a fast-growing company, including SOX compliance.
  • Oversee commercial decision making from margin analysis, pricing analysis, etc.
  • Advise and implement best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Advise on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the Executive Committee.
  • Manage and track budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information.

  • Excellent presentation skills in both English and French.
Things we hope you have:
  • 10+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience in a senior management position.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA required.
  • Previous experience within a FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment is considered an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters.
  • Bilingual (French and English) with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
